Soke is an oriental weapons specialist and qualified health and fitness instructor.
Soke Solly Said has been involved in Martial Arts from both spiritual and physical perspective from 1965. He has lived, trained and taught in the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Japan, India,New Zealand, Australia ,Egypt, Zimbabwe and South Africa.
He has many students that have obtained national and international titles. He has travelled the world over twenty-five times teaching and conducting workshops.
Soke Solly has trained under many Masters .The most famous of which was the legendary
Kancho Mas Oyama (10th Dan)
of Japan and under some of his renowned teachers in England and the U.S.A. Soke Solly Said runs a full time martial arts and fitness institute in Johannesburg since 1974.

Soke Solly Said was the founder of the SA Seido Karate Organization in 1976. He is now Founder and Head Master of the dynamic organization

The Organizations objectives are inter a’lia : To cultivate individuals with high levels of physical skills and spiritual, and moral characters, to promote karate-do in under privileged areas where there is such great potential but has never been tapped, to further our study of the history, philosophy and the metaphysical dimensions of Karate-do.
Philosophical meaning :
Ken To Fude No Karate Ryu – The karate way of the brush and the sword.
Idealogical meaning :
Kenshu Kai – Institute of the fist
The Brush symbolising continuous growth and search for knowledge and the Sword denotes, honour, courage integrity and resilience.
The RECTANGULAR PATCH: – worn on the front (left side) of the Gi (karate suit) translates means special place, where one comes to increase ones knowledge and skills.
The ROUND PATCH: – we wear on the left sleeve of our Gi is the emblem. The three leave clover stands for honour, courage and integrity, and the background is a martial arts symbol of antiquity which means ‘drawing from ancient wisdom to illuminate the present.’
